Experimenting with reactivity and new announcements!

The Old Eternal knows what you did...

Hi there! Perpetua here. As part of our process of deepening the choice-driven pillar in our game, we've been working on a small update as we head towards adding larger branches to the prologue: Reactivity!

It's a very tiny detail, but a very effective way to validate player agency, and we think that the character that can help us represent how we wish to handle things in the future is Old Eternal, the mysterious oracle you meet at the end of the prologue. He'll know what you did, so feel free to experiment with different ways to approach scenes and see what the old man thinks about you.

Of course, you'll be able to see much more reactivity once we hit the next goal of adding three more branches within our prologue, making different characters, including the Old Eternal, that much more reactive! You're very welcome to give us feedback in this regard, since it's our top priority to make the Visual Novel - RPG blend as faithful as possible.

In other news, we're on tour in Argentina!

We're proud to share we've been selected to two very important gamedev events in our country, Argentina:

First, there's Tucumán Hace Videojuegos (Tucumán Makes Videogames), where we will be travelling to the province of Tucumán to a festival hosted by its lovely local gamedev community. This event will occur this weekend, from the 11th to the 13th of July! We'll be showcasing our game, participating in 1-on-1 business rounds, and the Federal Interactive Narratives Gathering, a special sub-event that travels to different places in the country to spread narrative design with a decentralized philosophy.

Secondly, there's IDA, Indie Dev Argentina. We'll be going to the capital city of Buenos Aires to showcase the game amongst lots of other indie games in the region on this incredible event that emphasizes (surprise, surprise) on the indie industry of our country. This event will run for two days, the 19th and the 20th of July!

Oh! And one more thing!

Before we head out, we'd love to share once more our first (video) devlog, where we speak of the topics we'd like to raise awareness about in The Lost Land of Bahía Blanca, which not only seeks to be an amazing experience to its players, but also be a work of social impact.

Hope to see you soon and thanks for the support!
